Topkapi Cufflink Collection

Sneak Preview of one of my "Children"

I wanted to show you the first of the Topkapi Collection, hitting select Nordstrom doors this September of 2009.  Unlike clothing collections which change from season to season, with cufflinks, we will just add over time.  The Topkapi Collection was inspired by Topkapi Palace in Istanbul, from a picture I took in a small room outside the museum.

Zaharoff is about a world without any boundaries, without prejudice, where everyone is welcome and all cultures are accepted.  It may sound like a marketing ploy, but it's true.  It's how I feel when I create.  Zaharoff is colour-blind, culture-blind, but NOT fashion-blind.  It's about a feeling, what's inside a person.  All my designs are inspired from different cultures from all over the world.

Let's say for example, the above design called "Cross", I was at Topkapi Palace in Istanbul.  It's absolutely beautiful - everything is just gorgeous.  There was a small little hut and rather than just look it over, I walked into the room and saw white empty, chipped walls.  Just before leaving, I looked up, and saw this beautiful design on the ceiling.  I took a picture of it (which I can't find).  I did some "Georgifying" and the above design is what you see.

Always be open to the world around you, because you never ever ever know.

    How very true.

Any only when we are open, can it truly speak to us!
